What is collected

When you subscribe, the site stores your email address, signup source, consent version, subscription status, and timestamps. The application does not retain your IP address. Cloudflare may process technical request logs as part of hosting and security.

How it is used

Your address is used to send recaps and occasional publication notes from The Ottoman Year, and to manage the list. It is not sold or used for third-party advertising.

Where it is stored

The site and subscriber database are hosted by Cloudflare. No separate email delivery provider is connected yet. This notice will be updated before subscriber data is sent to another provider.

Retention and removal

The record remains until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Until an unsubscribe link is active in publication emails, contact @TheOttomanYear on X ↗ from the account connected to your request.

The site does not set analytics or advertising cookies.
